Oman and the United States are engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation, focusing on expanding economic ties and supporting Omani exports to the U.S. The dialogue took place during a meeting between Oman’s Minister of Economy, Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, and representatives from the Oman Trade Office in the United States, who are currently visiting Oman.
The discussions covered the achievements and future plans of the Oman Trade Office, as well as challenges and opportunities for boosting economic relations between the two nations. A key focus of the meeting was to increase access for Omani products in the U.S. market and to attract more American investments to Oman. Additionally, both parties explored potential new areas for trade cooperation.
Bilateral trade between Oman and the United States amounted to approximately OMR 555.26 million by the end of July 2026. The trade relationship features significant Omani exports such as chemicals and aluminium, while the U.S. exports vehicles and transport equipment to Oman.
