Kuwait and Iraq have initiated a collaborative effort to address unresolved bilateral issues by forming a joint working team. The decision was finalized following discussions between Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al Zaidi during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
This newly established team is tasked with developing a roadmap to tackle outstanding matters and will present its recommendations to the leadership of both nations within 30 days. Meetings will be held alternately in Kuwait and Baghdad, continuing until the team’s objectives are achieved.
The commitment to this initiative underscores both countries’ dedication to resolving their differences and enhancing cooperation. The agreement marks a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between Kuwait and Iraq.
