Oman and Qatar are in talks to enhance their economic, commercial, industrial, and investment ties, focusing on expanding partnerships in sectors with significant growth potential. This was the agenda when Omani ministers Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri and Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali met with Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani at the Invest Oman lounge.
The discussions aimed at exploring new avenues for bilateral cooperation and touched upon various fields including trade, investment, industry, transport, logistics, and modern technologies. Both nations are looking to boost mutual investments and are encouraging private-sector companies to engage in joint projects and partnerships, signalling a commitment to deepen their economic relationship.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between their respective business communities and government entities. This coordination is seen as crucial for enhancing trade and investment flows, supporting economic diversification, and improving the competitive edge of their economies.
