President Donald Trump asserted on Wednesday that US strikes on specific Iranian atomic sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan effectively ended the 12-day Iran-Israel war. He controversially compared the impact of these strikes to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Trump argued that the devastation inflicted on these key Iranian nuclear facilities forced them to abandon their nuclear weapons ambitions, stating they “went through hell.” He publicly disputed intelligence assessments from the Pentagon that reported a limited impact of the strikes, emphasizing his belief in their complete success.

The conflict was ignited by Israel’s bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities, citing its intent to halt Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons efforts. Iran consistently denied such intentions, maintaining its program was for peaceful energy. The 12-day conflict caused extensive damage and casualties.

A ceasefire, which Trump reportedly brokered, was in effect. Trump’s unwavering stance on the success of his military directives remains a key point of his public commentary.
