For the first time, Oman is set to host a World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meeting, a significant step forward for the nation’s athletics scene. Scheduled for September 5, the inaugural Oman Athletics Grand Prix will unfold at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, Muscat. This event is anticipated to draw approximately 300 athletes hailing from nearly 40 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe.
The Grand Prix will showcase a diverse array of track-and-field events, offering participants the chance to earn vital World Athletics ranking points. For Omani athletes, this competition presents a unique opportunity to measure their skills against international contenders, gaining invaluable experience on a more advanced stage.
